Jaribu Africa Adventures has partnered with Flying Doctor and evacuation specialists. Flying Doctors, picks up where travel medical insurance leaves off and provides the finest international medical response, emergency evacuation and field rescue should one of our trekkers become ill or injured.
The following safety equipment is standard on all of our Kilimanjaro treks:
Pulse-oximeter:
carried by the head guide as a diagnostic tool and measure of acclimatization
Hyperbaric chamber:
A pressure altitude chamber also known as a Gamow bag AED (Automated External Defibrillator) heart saving device
Oxygen kits:
For emergency use only, not to supplement climbing
Medical stretcher:
To assist with evacuation should the need ever arise and specifically designed to be used in the event of a helicopter extraction/evacuation
Comprehensive medical /first aid kits:
Carried by your guides to assist with any medical emergencies that may arise
Mobile phones:
Carried by the head guide and all assistant guides, for daily communications with our base in Arusha
VHF 2-way radios:
To facilitate communication between the guides
Satellite phone: carried by the head guide for emergencies only

All our guides are medically trained to render first aid and evacuation. Our guides are also trained on the flora, fauna and key localities on Kilimanjaro.
All speak fluent English
Each guide has an experience of more than 8 years and has more than 100 professional summits of Kilimanjaro and mount Meru
Trained to use safety equipment including, Pulse oxymeter, Gamow bags, Oxygen, stretchers, stethoscope , Pressure curve and Regularly check clients for signs of altitude sickness

- Guaranteed Payments:- Jaribu Africa Adventures Porters are guaranteed full wages even for Porters descending down before finishing the trip.
- Extra training like English speaking program, Environmental caring, causes are provide to Porters during the low season where is not busy on the Mountain

- Jaribu Africa Adventures Porters are being assisted with medical care in case of injuring or becoming sick while on the mountain with clients.

ECO COMPANY (ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY COMPANY)
We are committed to offering “green” treks and “leave no trace” principles of mountain ethics and removing all our waste from campsites, including human waste from higher campsites where waste does not break down.
Jaribu Africa Adventures porters are trained to camp on designated camping site areas and to un -designated areas, this inure high protection of the environment.
MODERN OUTFIT AND EQUIPMENT
We use only the best quality mountaineering tents for the clients, Eureka XT and Marmot Liar 8P for the dining tents. This is complemented by quality luxury chairs with back rest and tables. Thermarest sleeping pads provide a quality base for sleeping (with specially designed covers). We have designed a tent specifically for the porters, given they prefer to gather together. We utilize the very best quality USA sourced medical kits, medevac stretchers, oxygen systems and our pressure altitude chambers are manufactured in Australia. Waterproof duffel bags carried by the porters were designed in collaboration with the porters and their association to provide a greater degree of comfort when carried, as they are the backbone of the operations. Further to this, we ensure the clients’ gear arrives at each camp dry without fail.

For many years Jaribu Africa Adventureshas been supporting Local schools by providing teaching aids materials like text books (English, Mathematics and science test books) our goal is to encourage pupils to love science subjects as they have been seeing as difficult subjects and most of the pupils scared them, in additional we provide other materials like pen, pencils, raiser and sport equipment, like football. USE OUR OWN SAFARI FLEET
We use our own Modern 4 x 4 designed safari vehicles made from 2014 on ward, driven by our professional driver-guides, all equipped with refrigerators, sockets to charge camera & phones, free WIFI, comfortable seats and Radio calls. Also we guarantee window seat for each client with access of pop-up roof hatches for game viewing and photographs.
